Updated: Review of Fujifilm Neopan Acros (I & II) Film.
Fujifilm Neopan Acros is the sole film that the company has reintroduced after discontinuation in recent years. From what we understand, it continues to be produced in Japan and packaged in the UK (likely by Harman/Ilford).
The latest version, Acros II, broadens its sensitivity range to panchromatic (as opposed to the original orthopanchromatic) while maintaining its impressive reciprocity characteristics and consistent performance across different developers. The new iteration also provides slightly more contrast, yet overall, today's Acros is almost identical to the version we have been using since 2000.
I previously wrote about this film three years ago. It was time to refresh that review (I completely revised it, included new samples, and corrected all the errors from the earlier post).
