Reddit users discovered two revised pages on the Fujifilm website that mention the discontinued Fuji Pro 400H and Fuji Superia X-Tra films. Several users reported seeing this update in their respective language versions of the page, except for Japan.
Fujifilm Canada provided an email response, which added to the confusion by stating, “Superia X-Tra 400 and 200 speed films are available for purchase. Unfortunately, Pro 400H has been discontinued.” It’s worth noting that Fujifilm does not label their new color ISO 200 and 400 films as Superia X-Tra; instead, they are referred to as Fujifilm 200 and Fujifilm 400. It’s possible that the employee who replied intended to convey that the current film lineup will remain unchanged, with no plans for revival, and simply made a naming error.
Indeed, many participants in the discussion speculate that this may be a glitch in Fujifilm’s CMS, which I think is quite likely. In the past, Fujifilm representatives hinted at a potential return of the Pro 400H film, which has yet to come to fruition.
