Locations for Developing, Scanning, and Printing Film in Bangkok

The film scene in Bangkok is remarkable—yet it is often described as fragmented. Film lab owners have frequently expressed surprise after we've mentioned certain locations, saying things like, “I had no idea about that place you just mentioned, thanks for telling me, I’ll have to go check them out!” This indicates how dispersed Bangkok’s film community is, leading to the existence of “hidden gems” where outstanding services often go unnoticed outside their immediate vicinity. In this article, we'll explore various establishments in Bangkok that provide a diverse range of services, including film labs for E-6, ECN-2, B&W, and C41 processing, as well as locations where you can buy film and get it scanned. Locating the film you desire in Bangkok can be quite challenging, and should you wish to have your transparencies or negatives scanned at a higher quality than what a Noritsu or Fuji Frontier can provide, many will insist that it’s impossible. (Fortunately, that is incorrect!) We've included notes to clarify which places are best suited for specific needs. Bangkok is extensive, and this list is by no means comprehensive. If you're searching for a film lab in a certain neighborhood, refer to the KitzOnARoll list, which appears to be the most thorough compilation of film labs in Bangkok. However, it doesn’t provide much detailed information, so you might have to visit several labs until you find one that meets your requirements. If you visit Bali afterward, check our article “Where to Develop, Scan, and Print Film in Bali.” We’ve also provided updates in “Where to Develop Film in Chiang Mai.”

      The list includes:

      - XANAP (Sukhumvit)

      - Sweet Film Bar (Khao San)

      - A&B Digital Lab (Chatuchak)
