New films (TBD) from Harman and CineStill + ULF orders!
Recently, both Harman and CineStill have shared teasers regarding their upcoming releases, while Ilford has started accepting orders for ultra-large format (ULF) film.
Harman’s teaser on Treads (threads.com/@harmanphoto/p…, and elsewhere) mentions June 17th as the release date for something new. Rumors suggest that this could be an update to their Phoenix emulsion (analog.cafe/r/harman-phoen…). We'll find out soon enough, as it's only a few days away!
As some may be aware, Harman distributes black-and-white film under the Ilford brand name (if this is news to you, learn more here: analog.cafe/r/harman-phoen…). In any case, they are now accepting orders for unusual and very large film sizes at local retailers; details can be found at ilfordphoto.com/ultra-larg…
Additionally, CineStill has hinted at three forthcoming announcements with a mysterious “+” graphic on Instagram (instagram.com/p/DKft2OBMLG…) — some photographers speculate it might relate to a positive (slide) film. We'll see what unfolds.
On a side note, I've reached out to CineStill regarding Kodak’s recent announcement that could impact their products, but I haven't received a response yet. They may be busy preparing for their launch. For context: analog.cafe/comments/6lnk
