Two new Lomo’Instant Square Glass cameras have been launched. Last week, Lomography refreshed their premium *multi-format* instant film camera designs with Pemberley (shown) and The Blues.
The Lomo’Instant Square Glass is compatible with both Instax Square *and* Instax Mini films through an interchangeable film back (you can compare film dimensions here: analog.cafe/r/instant-film…). It features a 95mm lens (45mm equivalent — likely for the square format), and offers two apertures: 𝒇10 and 𝒇22, which are necessary for zone focusing (instructions for zone focusing can be found here: analog.cafe/r/how-to-zone-…). The camera's fully automatic shutter operates between 1/125s and 8s, with a maximum 30s delay in Bulb mode.
With this ‘Instant camera, users can adjust flash, execute multiple exposures, and manage exposure compensation, while it generally functions as a fully automatic film camera.
Glass lenses represent a relatively new addition for a brand recognized for its plastic “toy” cameras, such as the Diana Mini (analog.cafe/r/diana-mini-7…). However, Lomography is committed to enhancing their designs (see my review of the Nour Triplet 2.0: analog.cafe/r/nour-triplet…) and is shifting to higher quality products at a higher price point in their range (they were the first in a long time to introduce a glass lens 110 camera: analog.cafe/comments/0jn2).
